Editorial and Peer Review Process

  1. Submission of Manuscript: Authors submit their manuscript to the journal. The submission should align with the journal's focus on the intersection of business and artificial intelligence.
  2. Initial Editorial Assessment: The editor-in-chief or an associate editor initially assesses the manuscript for its suitability, relevance to the journal’s scope, and adherence to submission guidelines. If it meets the initial criteria, it is sent for peer review.
  3. Selection of Reviewers: The editor selects expert reviewers who have significant knowledge in the relevant fields of business and artificial intelligence. These reviewers are typically scholars or practitioners with a track record of publications and research in the area. Authors may suggest reviewers at the time of manuscript submission.
  4. Blind Review Process: The journal will employ a single-blind review process, where the reviewers will be anonymous to the authors. If you prefer a double-blind process, please remove author-identifying information from your manuscript and indicate your preference for a double-blind review when you submit.
  5. Reviewers' Evaluation: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field. They provide detailed feedback, suggestions for improvements, and a recommendation for the manuscript’s disposition (accept, revise resubmit, or reject).
  6. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor makes a decision. If revisions are required, the manuscript is returned to the authors with comments. The revised manuscript may undergo further rounds of review.
  7. Final Decision and Publication: Once the manuscript meets all requirements and standards, it is accepted for publication. The final step involves copy-editing, layout formatting, and eventually, publication in the journal.

Author Retains Copyright: We follow the "gold" open access model, where authors retain the copyright of their articles. The author grants us a license to publish the article under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs) license, allowing others to download the works and share them with others as long as they credit the creator, but they can’t change them in any way or use them commercially. This model encourages wider dissemination and use of the work while allowing the author to maintain control over their intellectual property.
